Make a TikZ Diagram Without Writing TikZ

You can draw a publication TikZ flowchart, neural net, automaton or tree without writing a single \node or \draw command. Open TikZ Diagram Studio, pick a subject library on the left, drop shapes or a template, connect them, and copy matching TikZ — or insert a PNG into Paper Builder.

Why skip handwritten TikZ for first drafts

TikZ is still the gold standard for IEEE/ACM figures, but the syntax tax is real: coordinates, anchors, styles, and one missing brace. A visual canvas is faster for the first layout. You keep the same output contract: copy a TikZ snippet for Overleaf, or rasterize a PNG for the on-device paper compiler (which has no TikZ package).

How to build a flowchart in the studio

1. Open TikZ Diagram Studio and dismiss the welcome card with Blank diagram, or click Flowchart in the left rail.
2. Use a template (compiler pipeline or if–else) or place Start/Stop, Process and Decision from the Flowchart library.
3. Select a node and click the + handles on north, east, south or west to sprout a connected sibling — diamonds get Yes/No labels on the vertical and horizontal ports.
4. Edit labels (math in $…$ renders with KaTeX). Copy TikZ from the toolbar, or use Insert into paper to queue the figure.

Subject libraries, not a junk drawer

The left rail is a subject switcher: Flowchart, Neural, Automata, Circuits, Systems, Trees, Plots and Annotate. Each panel shows templates for that subject, then shapes with distinct icons. Plots place ready curves (Gaussian, sigmoid, ReLU, tanh), not empty axes.
